What is blogging?

A blog, also know as a weblog, is similar to a diary except it is available to all via the internet. A blog allows you to record posts about any topic you choose. Like a real world diary this can be of a personal nature.

To create a blog a majority of people use a free service such as Blogger, the blogging software and blog hosting are provided for you. As a blogger moves up the blog food chain they may move on to a service that is more comprehensive such as Wordpress, a free blogging tool, you just have to pay for your hosting.
