CSS gallery design inspiration
Thinking of a new design for a website can be difficult. Depending on the type of site you are designing you will want a certain style or look for your website. Rather than just staring at a blank screen it's time you went out and looked for some inspiration.
There are several sites I like to browse when I get stuck for ideas. Here they are in no particular order.
Now I never borrow the design of an entire site, that would be lame. Instead I look for small details that attract my eye and look good in their own right. These ideas can then be incorporated into your new site. When I say borrow I do not mean steal the code or graphics but use them as a base for your inspiration.
I find I can pickup quite a few ideas from just browsing the eye candy. In the past I used to design my sites without any reference points, without really knowing what looked good and what worked.
Starting from scratch with any other sites for reference means it will take longer to com up with ideas. If you haven't already seen your ideas on screen you won't really know if they are going to work or not. This can lead to a lot of wasted time as you redo your site over and over again.
My advice is go with what you know looks good and works well for your audience. To be able to do this you need to see good site design in action. Visit the site galleries get inspiration and get designing.
